Forgive me while I wax lyrical

Gliding along the smooth, smooth road
patchy fog floats by
smears of dirt on the windshield pane
distort the light in flares

And then there are stars
and stars
and stars
and giant fuzzy stars
brilliant on the ghostly black
rulers of the sky

The trees become dark shadows
backdrops to the earth
the snow reflects upon the side
blurry streaks of gray

And then there are stars
and stars
and stars
and giant fuzzy orbs
brilliant on the ghostly black
taking o'er the sky

Aldeberon, Orion and Sirius down below
away from them a woman races
on her uplit steed
or perhaps she is a pale, pale witch
riding on her broom
She speeds away, leaning hard
till she loses shape

And then there are stars
and stars
and stars
and softly glowing stars
fading in the glowing dark
hiding in the sky
