Aw crap. I hate it when kids have serious illnesses, especially cancer. The treatments for cancer are so brutal, even without radiation. But she's in remission now? That's awesome.
I'm very, very lucky in that I have it mildly (haven't ever been totally incapacitated for more than a few days, and that was yonks ago). It's all about learning to take care of oneself. And learning what one's body needs in terms of care. I figure I have a thirty year advantage on most of my generation, even if I do often disregard it like a sulky teen. ;-)
