irreverence

Page is so tired, and feeling so poorly that he burst into tears when I snappishly told him it was time his "magic bag" (a ripped, wrinkled Wendy's paper sack with grease stains) was thrown out (because he'd just shaken it, upside down, over the table and floor, strewing oily crumbs everywhere).

My god, but it was funny. Yeah, I'm burning Hell, but it was hilarious.

Parenthood is not for the humorless. Or the saintly. And it seems those two things go together an awful lot, don't they? I don't hear an awful lot about comedic, or even just laughing, saints. At least not in Christian liturgy... No Loki or Coyote for us! Or even laughing Buddha!

Speaking of religion, I wonder how long it will take before the world reverts back to a lunar calendar... I'm thinking 200 years. Maybe that will signal the true start to the age of Aquarius?
