Well, if they haven't taken the time to logic it out, then yes, it is confusing as to whether it's a credit or debit. Or rather, if you don't grasp that one side of an equation has to equal the other side (basic, basic math! And synergy does NOT EXIST IN MATH!!!), it becomes complicated. (I had to write out the logic of the debit vs credits in three different ways, but I think I've got it now, by gum.)
