Christmas lights
So, would anyone be interested in sharing the most, erm, spirited (or garish, depending on your point of view) Christmas light display in their neighborhood/town (even if it's your own)? Kind of meme-like?
Even though I think taking things to the extreme is pretty tacky, I can't help but enjoy the joy of the season that literally radiates from those displays. One very fond memory I have is seeing the humongous display covering the courthouse? City Hall? (big, classical, forbidding-gray, official-looking building) in downtown Sydney. Red and green "ribbons" (at least fifteen feet wide) wrapped around the building along with several slightly-smaller-than-Macy's-Parade-sized balloons of Santa and snowmen. It was tacky as all get out, but it was so cheerful. I loved it.
So, wannna share? If so, I'll rush out and take pics of the house I'm thinking of.

Across the street was another hours with "Eat at Joe's" written in red and orange lights in their front window. The contrast was just excellent.

Tacky light hunting is quite fun. The glow of discovery reaching out beyond the bend... delightful!
