My Daemon...

Taken from [livejournal.com profile] ashfae.

Is my daemon an ocelot? Take the mini quiz and tell me! It's fun!

I didn't even know they were making the movie! This is looking like it's going to be an AWESOME year for movies! And the year starts in only a few weeks! Yay, Spiderman!

Anything else to report? No. =)

Ooh, now I'm a house cat (black)! Hee.

I am NOT a mouse. I don't care what anyone says.

Well, post it, and we'll tell you what we think! I don't see you as a mouse, either, frankly.

I got a SPIDER. I'm not reposting that one. :P

Ash turned into a spider briefly... Last I saw she was a bird. :-)

Oh, it CHANGES after you post it? Maybe I'll go do it again, then.

I've known for some time and can't stop worrying about how the daemons are going to look. And most of all, how Iorek Byrnison is going to look. I do hope they won't make the same mistake as the creators of Narnia, i.e. animals that move their mouths when they speak.
But Nicole Kidman as Mrs Coulter and Daniel Craig as Lord Asriel - just WOW!!

But Nicole Kidman as Mrs Coulter and Daniel Craig as Lord Asriel...

Guh! Guh, I say! Damn, how perfect is that? I hope the girl is up for the task... Lyra is one difficult character.

You're the 3rd person on my f-list to mention this today. I didn't know they were making the movie either. Haven't had time to play around on the website yet.

[identity profile] averygoodun.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I haven't had the time either, but then again, I don't really play around on websites like that. Not even Harry Potter. (JK's site actually pisses me off. Yeah, I know I'm a killjoy.)

Not to metion The Sharp Knife, for which they need a non-sugary Will Parry.
I really can't say what I'd hate more: Sugary Lyra or Happy-Feet Daemons... *brr*

[identity profile] averygoodun.livejournal.com 2007-04-26 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
I see Will as an easier character to cast and play, because boys are supposed to be gritty, whereas girls... Girls are not supposed to be like Lyra, which is, of course, why we like Lyra. =)

Either would be utterly atrociousl

The Sharp Knife? Is that how it's translated? Here it's The Subtle Knife.

[identity profile] pigwidgeon37.livejournal.com 2007-04-26 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
My mistake, sorry. It's The Subtle Knife of course (no idea how it's translated, as I only ever read the Englsh version). In the edition I have, the first book's title isn't The Golden Compass, though, but Northern Lights.

I do like Lyra a lot, but my top favourite characters are Lee Scoresby and Iorek.

Argh. I think I'll have to re-read the whole series for the fifth time.
