Yum

Dinner:

Sauteed Summer Squash

Sautee 1 onion and 1 clove garlic in 1/4 cup olive oil until translucent. Add 1 finely sliced & quartered summer squash and 2 - 3 tbsp fresh chopped parsley. Cook over medium high heat until squash is becoming transluscent, and then add a generous dash of lemon juice.

Quinoa (remember to rinse well under running water before cooking!)

Cold, sliced barbequed chicken

Chard wilted in olive oil, finished with a modest dash of lemon juice.

Really, this is super yummy. The sweetness of the onions and quinoa completment the tart of the lemon juice, chard and parsley, with the chicken adding via texture and slight tang (bbq sauce).

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): This week's horoscope draws on the wisdom of
Gemini philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson. His soaring perspective is a
perfect fit for your current astrological omens. Here's the first: "All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better." Emerson #2:
"What is a weed? A plant whose virtues have never been discovered."
Here's your third Emersonian clue: "He who is not every day conquering
some fear has not learned the secret of life." Let's finish up with this
battle cry, Emerson #4: "Do not go where the path may lead. Go instead
where there is no path and leave a trail."

Thanks for the relay! Although, I'll disagree with Emerson's philosophy about weeds. Weeds are plants where you don't want them. Period. Personally, I think dandelions are beautiful and wouldn't mind a yard full of them (hell, they'll at least grow!).

Conquering some fear each day? Now that's a lofty goal. I'll settle for dealing with, or coping with, some fear, and hope that eventually I'll conquer it through the collective experience.

It's a lonely life that he prescribes. A good one, probably, but difficult.

Emerson, himself, was the kind of godfather of American Transcendentalism. His greatest contributions to the movement was not necessarily his own writing, but his support of other members of the movement: financial and otherwise. I imagine that being very lonely in its own way.
