I'm a big fat liar

But this is on a completely different topic.

I've been reading about a lot of you setting up accounts on different journals. Um... well, I'm not going. I'm not sure I even really understand why you all are leaving in such a huff, except for the silly argument about being 'free' and whatnot. I really don't understand why those of you on my flist are afraid of being kicked off. *shrugs*

My question is, do you really think the grass is as green as it looks from here? Do you really think the same basic ethical rules won't show up over there at some point?

That's all.

That thought has occurred to me, too. I'm not going anywhere. *folds arms with a petulant expression*

I don't plan to go anywhere. LJ is comfy and I'm used to it. I'm lazy to move elsewhere. but my flist (well, to be fair, just a minority of my flist) was in a bit of a fuss over moving and so I had to make a post asking for their usernames in other journals. I have accounts in several of them for several reasons, one is that I like to be sure no one is using my username in them... and then, I had some of them in the 2 or 3 times that LJ had a power outage and so I created them...
People will be back in a while so no need to run away screaming or anything. ;)

For the time being, I'm keeping LJ as my journal, but I'm checking my f-list on IJ and GJ. There are some people I like who have transferred, and I want to be able to comment.

I couldn't be bothered last time, and can't be bothered now either. And I agree with you - there' s no guarantee at all that other sites won't do the same. Besides, I feel secure in the knowledge that what I write won't offend the LJ people. I'd hate for my journal to be deleted, because there's so much RL stuff there, but I'm sure I'd survive it, if it really happaned. *shrugs*

I'm not going anywhere. Not really anyway. I've had a few accounts elsewhere, I've just posted to a couple of them for the first time since opening them.

What I'm a bit concerned about it is the exchange getting deleted. Not that it's truly a problem, but there are a few stories that people could question.

So, I'm following the wank for a bit, but only because it concerns that. :)
