Versions of image #2

I do hope you'll pardon the spam.

So, this is what I've come up for design #2, which was (is) considerably more difficult to work with than #1. Don't precisely know why, but I have a feeling it has something to do with being a more complete image in and of itself.

So... Here are the ten versions I've come up with so far (that don't make me want to vomit).

I like #5.
I'm in love with #8.
I love green, so I may be a bit biased... on the other hand, it's a leaf, of course I'd think green suits it better. :P

:D I like #8, too, but I can't claim bias when it comes to color. The only color I don't especially like is pink, and even that has exceptions.

I think 4 is my personal favorite. It's kinda remniscent of batik and Pacific Northwest art, but remains its own thing. But I am biased there.

What you know is your personal preference which is exactly what I'm looking for! Art is all very personal, and although I will rely on my own opinion for the finished product, knowing what you like gives me an idea of whether I'm on the right track or not. After all, often, the pieces I like the best of mine are the ones that no one else likes, so it's good to get a wake up call now and again!

I like 6 at lot! I really like the colors in 5, but for some reason I just like the more horizontal orientation of the leaf in 6. If I could get the composition in 6 with the colors of 5, that'd be my hands down favorite! ;-)

Almost! I like this a lot, but I really like the way the orientation is in 6, with the stem in the upper left and almost horizontal, and the leaf resting on two of the points down - that one just looks the most as if it just fell of the tree and landed like that! (Maybe I've been raking too many leaves lately - Current total: 8 bins and 12 bags.... And one of our two huge trees hasn't even started shedding yet...)

I prefer the leaf more upright /horizontal. It seems perkier.

Other than that the colours are all nice.

I like the positioning on the last 3 -- it emphasizes that leaf as butterfly thing. (Did you add a little stem, or did I miss it first time around?)

Yes, I did return a little bit of the stem that I had digitally erased last round. 'Twas a good suggestion of yours!
