Otherwise said, all this looks so much better in real life, but my little camera combined with my lack of skills isn't up to scratch for capturing it. Ach well.

The river view from one of the few bridges in town (Seriously, there are only three or four bridges that cross the river that is smack dab in the middle of town. It's obnoxious. Oh, and this is a pedestrian bridge.):

It almost looks like a scene out of a movie, complete with a big, badly parked, American car out front, doesn't it?

More to follow later as I do a bit of editing on the others. Crop is a wonderful tool. :-)
