It seems I spoke too soon. I reread what I'd written and it didn't seem complete. So, I've doubled it. It's not done yet, either, though there's only one more segment to write, I think.

Oh, and that snippet where Snape and Hermione went into the Restricted Section? Yeah, that made it in after all. Whee.

Doing the chapter this way should make it easier to transition back into the story proper, though. However, I've still got to get across the impression that a month has passed by after this chapter's done. Eek. The only thing I can think of is to do another transition chapter.

Are two transition chapters back to back too much? Even if they're showing different characters' relationships developing?

It was so very clear-cut up until this point. I knew exactly what would happen, where and when, leaving only the how to figure out. I might still know the why for everything that's going to happen, but the rest of the questions are less than clear. Only a vague general outline is there to help me out, and right now it's leaving me to question HOW THE HELL AM I GOING TO FINISH THIS STORY???

I've been reading about a lot of you setting up accounts on different journals. Um... well, I'm not going. I'm not sure I even really understand why you all are leaving in such a huff, except for the silly argument about being 'free' and whatnot. I really don't understand why those of you on my flist are afraid of being kicked off. *shrugs*

My question is, do you really think the grass is as green as it looks from here? Do you really think the same basic ethical rules won't show up over there at some point?
