Babe
All he wants is attention, I know that.
But, god almighty, I need my alone time! I am so frikkin' tired of being around him, 24/7 with only one pseudo break five days ago. I Want Time Off!
Of course, everything is exacerbated because we're both disappointed and upset that Geoff couldn't come home on time, and won't be home for another day. And he's taking it out on me, and I'm only barely, by this much *holds finger apart one millimeter*, not taking it out on him. But when he headbutted me in the lip, making me bleed, (after having hit me hard several times earlier) I lost all sympathy.
The little bugger is on his own tonight. Just like me.
ETA: To reassure you all, the mothering thing in me did finally win out. He fell asleep on the floor of the living room (to be nearer me) and was obviously not sleeping very well or comfortably, though probably it was the sound of the typing as much as the hardness of the floor that was disturbing him. It's a loud keyboard. Anyway, I did eventually carry him upstairs to his bed. May he rest peacefully there.
And I've lined up a babysitter for tomorrow. Yeehaw.
