Yet more complaining

Ow #1 - I think the chiropractor injured my shoulder. I can't think of anything else that would have damaged that particular area of my back, and it has been swollen and painful to the touch for the last two days (the adjustment was on Friday evening). And considering that my hip was worse (needing a handful of analgesics worse) after the adjustment, I think I am henceforth going to go to the acupuncture studio for my back and immune health, with only biannual (or quarterly) physical adjustments. Especially because this adjustment was with the gentle chiropractor.

Ow #2 - I jammed my dominant thumb into Page's metal bed rail yesterday while helping him clean up his room. I don't think I broke anything, but damn, it hurt. It's quite sore this morning, but I can move it without pain (soreness, yes, but no pain), so I think I'll be fine. Eventually.

Ow #3 - My allergies are acting up, and it seems my nose and sinuses are unhappy with me, judging by the gore. While this technically isn't an "ow", it is annoying and itchy and unpleasant, so I'm putting it here.

Ow #4 - It's the first day of my period. Which, of course, makes ow numbers 1 through 3 that much worse.

ETA: Ow #5 - I have zit on the inside of my nose. And with the allergies... OWWWWIE!

However, there's good stuff, too. For instance, the B vitamins I've been taking have been doing their job. Not only did I not get PMDD this month, I was cheerful and energetic all weekend. I also noticed that I did not get the usual pre-period eczema flare-up on my face this month. If anything, my eczema has been getting loads better. (Well, with the exception of the flare after having some dairy early in the month. But that doesn't count as the cause was from ingesting a no-no rather than my body being stupid to itself.) So that's nice.

Also, because this morning is a rough one, I allowed myself a cup of tea. I wonder if that's why I'm feeling all floaty and odd now... Hmm. Is it possible to get tipsy from (straight) tea? Anyway, the tea was nice and comforting.

I'm also starting to get excited about the trip to see my parents. Images of places and doings around their town keep popping up in my head, like going to the farmer's market (or rather, walking from the parking lot into the farmer's market), going to Canadian Tire (a home improvement/tool type store), and various other mundane things like that. I'm looking forward to sharing the everyday with them again.

Oh, and yesterday I finally got up my nerve to make a blueberry-kale (w/banana) smoothie, and found it was surprisingly good! I think it'll be my new go-to snack. Especially since I'm out of dried cherries and really need to not OD on dates... *nods sagely*

And now I should decide how to go about my day. Happy new week, all.
