Gemini - Everything you do today feels about one notch harder than it should be -- but don't give up! You need to keep pushing and try to get your people to back you up when the going gets tough.

Already it's proving true... *sigh*

Considering everything that's been going on, this week hasn't been all that bad, though. Long and wearing, but not bad.

- Page is most definitely on the mend. He only coughed once last night, and hasn't needed his puffer more than every four hours (at most) for a couple of days now. His lungs are definitely loosening up, as well, to judge by the quality of his coughs. Also, he hasn't complained of his ear hurting since Wednesday morning. (He has a nasty ear infection. I know because the doctor showed it to me.)

- Geoff had to stay an extra day in Toronto because of stuff. He is, however, coming home today. Here's hoping all his planes are on time.

- I got approximately 200 bulbs planted yesterday. There are still more to plant, but they're waiting until the last of my plants arrive later this month, because I'd rather only dig up an area once. I'm a bit achy today from the hours of digging, but I think the preemptive pain-killers and the hot detox bath before an early bedtime helped stave off the worst. I thought it was going to rain today, so I pushed myself a bit harder than I maybe should have.

- I'm wondering how good people manage to not say "I told you so" to their children. *shakes head* I'm tempted to start leaving Page to take care of himself in the mornings since he obviously doesn't value my words one bit. Actually, I'm starting to get really pissed at both the boys because neither of them seem to hear me anymore. I'm wondering if it's because I talk too much or I speak too quietly or if they're just scatterbrained jerks. Or all three. Need to think that over.

I also need to look up how to teach critical thinking skills to children. Page is definitely lacking in that area and the schools don't teach that anymore. (If they ever did.)

- On the plus side, NECAP testing has been all this week (and continues next week), and it seems to suit Page. He's been pretty cheerful all week where school is concerned, which has been reflected by his high behavior marks. I wonder what about it is making him cheerful (because it's the only thing that would be making him cheerful this week...)

- I will probably be getting my paper back today. I am woefully behind in my reading and note-taking, but that can wait till this weekend. Geoff and Page will be going out to play on Saturday which will give me several hours to do a bit of catch-up reading. ETA: Nope, no paper. Just news that there's a quiz on Wednesday covering four chapters, three of which I haven't read yet. yay. That said, we watched an awesome movie on learning disabilities that made me cringe and cry: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNFoc1On7qQ

- Speaking of reading, I splurged and bought several books. I bought "Thoroughly Modern Monsters," natch, as well as "The Opposite of Magic," and "Imperial Odyssey - When the Animal Rules us All" which is a novella by one of my brother's old friends. I also bought a book on business law and microeconomics so as to study for those CLEPs because...

- If I take and pass those CLEPs, I will have one semester of two classes left after this year. If I don't, then I will have to either take three classes a semester (I don't see that working very well, not with Geoff's travel schedule as booked as it has been) starting in the spring, or one semester of three classes and a summer school session. And, quite frankly, I want a summer off.

But, I think I will be able to take and pass those CLEPs, and then I'll hopefully be able to transfer to a four-year in December of '14! (Need to remember to actually GO to the transfer fair this November!)

*sigh* School is... long. I want to be done with it now. Ah well. Only... six years to go?

But now I should go try to do a bit of catch-up reading before class. Either that, or I'll go do a task or two in the garden to try an loosen myself up.

Hmm...
