More sketches
Okay. Re-did the kiss scene that I didn't show you, and I think it came out quite nicely. But, may I say, drawing Snape with short hair is a horrible thing. But, then again, drawing short hair is a horrible thing.

Three notes: 1. This image really is best seen large, so click on it a bit. 2. It is a sketch. It is only a sketch. If it were a real drawing, I would have put far more attention into the non-facial details. 3. Yes, Hermione is skinny. She is deliberately skinny/underweight as per the story.
And then, because
dickgloucester made a suggestion and then asked nicely, here's that other sketch again, slightly modified.

The second is good for different reasons - a bugger of an expression and the dreaded three-quarter angle on her face. I think her mouth is good and the shading under her nose. But my favourite bit (odd, I know) is the eye sockets. There are proper dips! :D Verrry cool.

In many ways, I find the three-quarter angle much easier to draw. As long as the visible side has shadows. I find profiles and full views much more of a bugger to draw nicely. *shrug*

I do love his nose, more than anything else (although the rest is wonderful too).
