Dream poll
The responses from my last (non-meme) post reminded me of a poll I wanted to put out there. I'm assuming all of you can remember your dreams, whether of snippets or the whole convoluted mess. Well, I'm wondering...

Of course, last nights' was a doozy. The only reason I'm on the computer now is because I'm avoiding going to bed.
What are you doing up? It's even later for you!

I'm procrastinating. As much as I love sleep, and depend on my dreams, I don't want to give up this little bit of alone time. Nap time and late night are the only chances I get anymore. Staying up late (and depriviing myself of much needed sleep) actually keeps me in a beter mood than going to bed when I should.

Here, if you think it's better than Rod Stewart: http://keladry-lupin.livejournal.com/96848.html
That's my LJ entry with the YouTube of Peter's Friends siinging "The Way You Look Tonight." At least it's a change!

Also, if I have a really scary or horribly sad dream, it takes me forever to fall asleep again, and that's always a factor in how tired I am the next day. I find reciting a long poem or story helps immensely in such cases (it's usually Kipling's "The Elephant's Child" for me).

The most wearing aspect is the disappointment that those hot, sexy dreams were just that - dreams.

My dreams don't wear me out by themselves; the wearing out usually happens after I wake up and think about them and try to find meaning in them, and once the meaning becomes clear, I get creeped out or even more confused. And a couple of times my dreams have turned slightly prophetic (i.e., last month I know I dreamt that my godmother was telling my mother that she and her husband were getting a divorce because my godfather was cheating; this month, it's true), and that factor wears me out even more. But not the actual dreaming part.
Unfortunately, I rarely have "good" or "hot" dreams. And when I do, it's usually with someone I'd never consider attractive, which then turns the "hot" dream into a "scary" dream. I can't win. :P
