It's finished, and it's crap. 26,670 words, a good half of which are crap.

Really, truly, and I don't know if I have the wherewithal to revise it.

At least I have the title figured out now.

You know it always feels this way when you finish a story - or, at least, I do. Put it to one side - you don't have to revise it today! You've titled it, it's "down on paper" - give yourself a break and treat youself for a difficult job, completed.

I truly and sincerely doubt that it *is* crap.

I always feel like I can't write worth she-at (how do you spell the exaggeratted Texan pronunciation of "shit" anyway?), throughout the whole process. Why I continue, I don't know. Maybe I'm a masochist.

No, this is different. I thought it was up to my usual standard until I printed it out (60 pages!) and started rereading it. It is muddled, the characterizations are sloppy and... well, I just don't like it. It has NOT been a cathartic experience.

But yes, a break and a treat are what's needed. Thank you.

Congratulations on getting it all out on paper. If you don't feel like revising now, let it sit until you're ready to take it on. I, for one, am still looking forward to reading it!

::hugs!::

Thank you! I... yeah. I'll do that.
