Where reading a Seuss book is bad for the outlook

I just wrote this line in "She Married Her Choice."
(I think I will edit at least once, maybe twice)


Closing her mouth up quite small and quite tight, she huffed with her nose and glared up a fright.


Perhaps I should read something else before writing?
Like fanfic or Dickens or Austen or Rowling?

Ergh. No, I confess,
this rhyming is done only under duress
I much prefer prose and clear sentence structures
to something as wild as three prone, sated creatures.

Ah but prose with clear sentence structures could portray three creatures finding bliss so well. Alas I'm not gifted with your talent at rhyming..
