And a personal post

Geoff is back. Yay!

I got away from Babe for an hour or so today. Yay!

I actually managed to get some writing done while out at the cafe. Wow!

I wonder if Babe was as sick of me as I was with him. He really has been Demon!boy the last few days, but he was so sweet when I came home after escaping going out - only one or two hissy-fits, and those easily cured.

I am very much looking forward to the next couple of days, not just because Geoff is taking them off as his well-earned weekend, but because Babe goes back to school! Oh my god! School is so worth it. (Chants: Only one more year. Only one more year.)

Tomorrow, if the weather is nice, I'm planning on going around and photographing all the flowering trees. The forsythias and pears are almost over, but there are a few especially beautiful trees around here than I must capture while they're still blooming!

Oh, and that reminds me. I should check to see if our azalea is blooming yet. And, if it is, if the fertilizer I gave it last year helped.

Anyway, that's enough. I'm much calmer now, and though I'm still very short on the patience level, I am no longer on the verge of child-abandonment. So that's good.

Now I'm off to bed.

That's good news. Well done for escaping.

YAY! The relief of handing off the demon spawn to the husband who abandoned is a delightful thing indeed. I don't know how many times My Good Boy came home after a trip and had a handful of squalling, squirming baby/toddler as he barely made it through the door. "It's your turn. Did you have a nice trip?" This was always said as I was walking away to hide in my bedroom under the blankets in bed for a day or two. Nope, not once did I feel guilty because I knew, knew my job was more difficult than his that week or two or three.
