Ha.

So, I was reading the headlines on Yahoo, as I usually do, and in a dramatic turnaround from yesterday's news that a million more people are unemployed than previously estimated (and that had the stock markets falling), there's this headline: "January unemployment rate drops unexpectedly to 9.7 pct"

Uh-huh. Sure. I think what I actually said was, "Bullshit."

Then I open up the quick-view of my horoscope, as I usually do, and this is what I read:

If there's one thing you definitely don't appreciate, it's being manipulated. You can smell it a mile away and know the signs with your eyes closed.

I might understand the logical need for doublespeak and manipulation of the media to keep panic to a minimum and all (not that I approve or think it isn't Eeeevil), but for God's sake, if you're going to double-back, you'd best do it in a less obvious way! We might be a country of amnesiacs, but I sure hope we're not so bad as to not remember YESTERDAY'S news!

In other news, an (effective) hour and a half in the morning is just not enough time to myself. Especially when most stores don't open till ten. Otherwise said: Friday Mood has hit with a vengeance.

Oh, and LJ is pissing me off by creating code it won't recognize. Grrrrrrr.

Ha! I love when my horoscope seems to fit in perfectly with my life. Most of the time it does. Strange shit!
