Overheard at the lunch table

G: (amused bemusement) Thwart?
E: At rehearsal, CD was impressing upon us the need to emphasize the "wah" in 't'ward". And that got me thinking of 'thwart'.
G: Thwart.
E: Yes. Thwartthwartthwartthwartthwartthwart.
G: Thwartthwartthwartthwartthwartthwart.
Both, together: Thwart.
There's no way in hell Babe's gonna grow up to be normal, unless that's his rebellion.
