Hairbands

On some recent meme I said I love short hair for myself, and today I realized one reason (of many) why I do: no need for hairbands.

Seriously.

I am pretty sure that those little covered hairbands make up a fairly significant portion of this section of the Universe's Dark Matter. Along with disappeared socks. 'Cause you know that if you buy a hundred hairbands, you will only be able to find (maybe) five of those in a month. It's because they're made from Dark Matter!

Now how hairband manufacturers managed to harness Dark Matter for their own profit, I do not know. I think there should be an investigation though. Perhaps make a special consumer watchdog group. After all, surely there are laws about selling off Dark Matter and other Theoretical Masses.

Anyway, I want a haircut. I have a couple of months to go before I can justify one, though. Le sigh.

*falls over laughing* So that's where they all went! I have puzzled over dark matter for some time and been unable to come to any conclusions. This makes a lot of sense.

Doesn't it, though? I mean, if you think about it, there are over 3 billion women on the planet, most of whom have long hair (or hair long enough to use hairbands). That's a lot of hairbands, with more being made every year! Where do they all go?

Also, pens.

Yes, indeed.

Dark Matter. Of course.

Black holes get them. Little tiny ones that sneak up and suck up your stuff. Little nasty renegades.
