Pics

First, here is the arting I've been doing lately. Some of you might recognize it as a portion of one of [livejournal.com profile] kribu's recent photos. Yes, I asked for and received permission to use it.

)

I am without photo editing software for the moment (not installing anything until Win 7 arrives), so please forgive the rotation issues. Coloring is decent, though.

Next, there are photos of why I do not think it is too harsh to give away the toys Babe refuses to pick up*.

The buttons (upside down):

The Cash drawer:

Not sure what exactly it's supposed to be (nor have I asked, yet), but it's cool use of packing materials:

*After talking to my mum, I am rethinking what all will be given away. A lot is going to be given away because he has too much. Really. The kid is swimming in toys. Some, however, will not go. And I am also rethinking my strategy for dealing with clean-up. Again. We'll see if it works.

Thank you! And yes, isn't it fun? I remember making plans to do such and such with boxes and boards and such, but I rarely followed through to actually make stuff the way he does. It's awesome to see!

He's a clever boy!

I didn't mean that you were too harsh, before. Just that it felt harsh, to me. I would like to be more on the harsh side, myself. :-( Sometimes it's necessary. I know what you mean about swimming in toys. We have most of what #1 had, plus the things that we, and others, give to #2... It's immense. It's too much.

He is!

As I responded to your original, it IS harsh. And it probably is too harsh, though his toy count does need to come down. I'm giving him back all his toys but they have to be kept in his room. If they don't go back to his room at the end of play-time, they'll be culled.

My mum reminded me that he is only five. That is very young. I forget, sometimes, when I see just how much he's grown. ;-)

Oooh, I love the art!

And all the box stuff is very creative. It must be nice at times to be able to have boxes that don't get immediately (a) slept in, (b) peed in, (c) ripped apart with claws...

Yay! I meant to send you a link, but life interfered. Sorry. :-)

Hee! Yes, although every box that comes in the house is claimed by him and may not be thrown out or flattened or anything... But will be cut up and transformed and...

Thankfully, he hasn't peed in any of them, however. ;D
