People who live closer to sea level don't always understand the risks. We're at a much higher risk and incidence of sun-related skin problems at a higher altitude.

I tend to brown in the summer after repeated exposure. I wear sunscreen and burn quickly without it. I'm currently looking for a big hat as I'm starting to discover some 'fine lines and wrinkles' that someone my age at a lower altitude might not have.

I use a self-tanner to even up my arms when I have to wear something sleeveless. It works pretty well, but seems a little silly. (I bought it for a wedding in which I wore a strapless dress.

However, the sun is also a catalyst for nutrients, so it's important to get a little.

Tanning salons will be one of those things that no one in the future will be able to understand.
