Yeah, that's the funny bit, Muller's only famous in Poland. It's a guy from Germany who came to Poland for a summer language camp and then decided to stay.
He is a stand-up comedian who gained fame after starring in a chat show "Europe is Likable" - several foreigners who live in Poland were asked to speak about their experiences, likes, dislikes, differences and similarities between their mother countries and Poland. It was a great success, mainly due to Muller's (and his friend, the English guy's) great sense of humour (he joked both about Germans and Poles, btw.), he is very nice and got a totally huge following in Poland, breaking the stereotype of "Stuck up" Germans who don;t have no sense of humour.
Then he starred in the most successful Polish soap opera-cum-series (it s neither... or both ;) and all in all, he's a total celebrity, the most liked German for nearly all the Poles.
Glad to be friended, we're all EU citizens anyway ;)
