Because it's needed a good cleaning now for a long while (probably a year, possibly two) and since we're having people over on Saturday for Babe's birthday... and possibly other people over the next week, I want to get it into some semblence of nice. And it took eight hours because it was really, really grimy, and I can't use the cleaning stuff that works faster. :-/
