1) This is the 1st of September, what do you want to accomplish by the 31st?
The mural, the Rocks, the sidewalk, the trim, countertop and glueing. Oh, and a portrait of Babe. And while I'm at it, maybe on the 31st I'll finally take that trip to the moon I've been er, mooning over. (sorry.)
2) What does September make you think about or feel?
Death and illness.
3) September is the ninth month; can you name nine memories so far from this year?
Coming home from Florida in January.
Receiving DH's birthday flowers from his parents in February (They're still alive! Yay!).
Babe's funky run got even funkier as he became more confident in his balance sometime around March.
April brought the first flush of spring as the crocuses started blooming, ending the brown winter.
May brought the leaves on the trees, and ferns to plant.
In June, I finally got to see the local apple orchards in bloom (something I've wanted to see ever since reading LM Montgomery as a child!)
July... was July the rainy month? No, that was May. But having the area flood was kind of memorable.
August was godamned HOT! Melting hot. Baking-cookies-in-a-car hot!
We also went to the beach in August, which was another first for me.
4) What does September have in common with three other months and can you name them?
30 days hath September, April, June and November...
5) The first weekend in September signals the end of summer for many even though it doesn’t really end for weeks. When does summer end for you?
When the baking season starts.
Now I guess I better go back to work. The sky in the mural is (extremely close to) done, and the sea is roughed in. It should be dry enough to start glazing it to the right color, now. yay.
Maybe I'll have some more tea, first?
