Progress. Whee!

I've almost finished the portrait of my dad that I started, oh, one and a half years ago. I need to do some tidy-up work on it (mostly to mess up his hair a bit; painting in the background tamed it a bit too much), but it is otherwise done. I think.

I'm surprised, though, that the formal dark background suits him. True, it might not be so much that it suits him as the painting style, but...

Whatever. It works. I think I may even be pleased with it. :-j

So... now only two unfinished paintings on the wall... Or three? Well, including the tidy-up work on the portrait, I guess it's still four, but it is so much closer to two (yes, two) that I'm feeling quite pleased with myself.

And this spurt of painting comes after complaining (to myself) that I had lost all my creative urges. I guess Fall is in the air...
