There are times I am extremely grateful I do not work outside the duties of motherhood. Today is one of those times.

I must be fighting some nasty or other off, because I've been extremely tired, even for me, lately. Last night I went to bed at eight (though I didn't fall asleep till after midnight and a cup of hot maple milk), I didn't want to wake up this morning, and I just woke up from an involuntary nap.

I am so glad, so very, very glad, that Babe is a good kid. I will have to make cookies with him tonight as a reward.


I have been busier than usual lately, though, which is nice. I'm co-organizing a writing group at church which I'm excited about. I suggested the idea of writing buddies, which has been taken up enthusiastically. In fact, I have a writing date in a couple of hours!

I'm also a (hesitant) member of the PR committee. We'll see how that works out.

Since going off gluten, I've been able to sing again, which is also nice. I probably should cut out milk and dairy as well, but I find myself really reluctant to at this point. Soy milk is out as a substitute due to allergies and rice milk... well, it's sweet paste water rather than nutrition. Dairy is really my best source of calcium, so it stays. Neener.

Basically, except for the tiredness (which might be blamed on anemia), life it going pretty well. We'll see how well when the insurance quote for the year comes in, however. *wibbles*

I won't complain anymore about Congress and health care and Big Business except to say blah.

But now Babe wants to play, so I shall go.
