I wish I hadn't left my camera at the church! Right now there's a wonderful photo-op of why it's a good idea to invest in good materials when building, rather than just cheaping out.

Our poor neighbors are without indoor plumbing at the moment because the sewer line out of their house needs to be replaced. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing it collapsed. After all, they are just cardboard with foil wrappings. *shakes head in disgust again*

This revives my desire to move. Soon. Before the association decides to replace everyone's. Because it is coming. These 'pipes' are more than 40 years old, which isn't young for actual metal pipes, and is ancient for these fuckers.

The upshot is that there are two back-hoes in our neighbor's driveway, a big pile of dirt and, I expect come Monday, another big tree down. *sigh*

Oh, and I heard one of the workers say something about finding asbestos.

Lovely.

This makes me gleefully happy. In a cynical, bitter kind of way.

In less bitter news, I love hearing Babe laughing like Ernie (from Sesame Street) as he and Geoff play War. Babe is winning, obviously.

I also love that Babe spent the better part of the afternoon outside, playing in the snow. Tomorrow, we go sledding (maybe right after church? If so, take nutritious snacks), this time there'll be enough snow on the ground to cover the grass completely! LOL.

Now... I need to go art. (On illustrative drawing #11 of 20. Making progress (though I'm not thinking about how much time it'll take to color them all)!) I not only walked today, but also shoveled. I think a hot shower or salt bath is in order for tonight.

Oh, one question: How long does a bruised bone hurt? My knee hasn't swollen, but the contact area (anterior fibula process) still hurts like a mother. I know it's not even been a week, but I'm getting tired of needing to be really careful with it.

Year 2010 Overview for Gemini:

Isn't it great being a Gemini? All that charm, that mental flexibility, that ability to see both sides of the issue ... you're the wonder of the zodiac. Take a bow. The problem with that is that both sides of the issue have been kind of a drag. Good news: that's all going to change in the next year!

Gemini is one of the few Sun signs that doesn't have an animal symbol, but this may be the year that all of that changes. In the past few years, with Pluto opposing your sign, you've been a little like a monkey, swinging from branch to branch trying desperately to keep one step ahead of the predators and keep yourself fed. With Pluto now moved on into Capricorn, a lot of the major partnership issues you've faced will be lightening up. You'll still retain the swing, but this year you're going to feel a lot more like a hummingbird: still mobile, still getting things done, but in a much more elegant manner.

Your renowned intellect has been strained the last couple of years, as it's been forced to find solutions to the many issues you've been dealt. In 2010, you'll finally be gaining some traction on your biggest challenges, and solutions will flow to you with ease.

God, I hope so.

And now to while the rest of the evening away drawing. :-)
