Thought for the day:
Apr. 2nd, 2010 09:43 am"Optimism is a political act. Those who benefit from the status quo are perfectly happy for us to think nothing is going to get any better. In fact, these days, cynicism is obedience." Alex Steffen
Babe is at school! Yay! (He also made me call poison control this morning by consuming 5 or 6 Mucinex mini-melt cough packets. I was pretty sure he hadn't consumed enough to worry, but...)
I'm still feeling human, if a bit gimpy.
The sun is shining again, and there was fog this morning and it's supposed to be warm!
Now I need to go to the dollar store and get Easter egg supplies (egg dye, basket, stickers, erasers, tiny toys and such, cuz there ain't gonna be candy here, except for the small Easter bunny I got).
I wonder... what would living in Germany as an American be like now? (It's one potential option. Not appealing because of the increased distance from family, but an option.) In '84 it wasn't all that great, but we're not an occupying force now, so maybe anti-American sentiment has faded a bit?
