Angry? Me? Never.
Mar. 11th, 2011 10:14 amI'm looking at the pictures of the disaster in Japan and feel so completely... helpless. Awed and staggered, too. I hope that they can get aid into the most affected areas quickly. *offers prayers*
(Though I must admit that I now have a Blue Oyster Cult phrase in my head, even if it is in very bad taste and for the wrong area.)
Day 1- Pride. Seven great things about yourself.
Day 2- Greed. Seven worldly material desires.
Day 3- Wrath. Seven things that piss you off.
Day 4- Sloth. Seven things you neglect to do.
Day 5- Envy. Seven qualities you lack and covet.
Day 6- Gluttony. Seven guilty pleasures.
Day 7- Lust. Seven love secrets
I'm sure I could think of seven individual things that piss me off, but honestly, just about everything that pisses me off (which is way more than seven) can be narrowed down to two things: people being mean or stupid.
There are too many examples to list, though the link below is one of the former. Neighbor Lady's complete lack of logic in the face of stress is an example of the latter. US politics is an example of both combined.
Further proof that the market is self-regulating. No government regulations are needed. And for God's sake, never, ever socialize medicine. That would be evil.
I was instead going to write a mini-sermon about how the reason why these sins are considered mortal isn't because they'll necessarily kill you, but because of how they will harm everyone around you (with the possible exception of envy, unless taken to murderous extremes), but the news of the morning has kinda taken away any steam I had.
That and the fact that Page has a stomach bug of some sort, so is home from school.
So, I hope your day is a good one, and may it lead to a wonderful weekend.
