Nov. 21st, 2011 12:35 pmIt was a slow kind of morning at school. Everyone was either sleep deprived, sick or in a mood. The prof of my first class groaned whenever any student said they had a question ("Don't get close! I'm sick.") and commented on all of us who looked rather peaked.
Ten minutes into class, as the lecture was just getting rolling, a girl at the back raised her hand and said, "I'm about to have a seizure."
Our prof was on the phone to 911 within 10 seconds (she has repeatedly told us that was what she would do if any of us got sick in her class), one classmate who has medical training jumped up to aid her, and the rest of us just sat there, wondering what we could do.
Needless to say, class was canceled.
I assume that she will be okay. That she knew she was going to have a seizure says she has lived through it before. The seizures, from what the prof was telling the 911 people, were small, but frequent. And Medical Woman was there, (I assume) knowing what to do.
But... I've been praying for her health pretty constantly since 10:10. How scary must that be?
