Life (goes on)
Oct. 25th, 2012 08:12 amYou know what I like? Being able to breathe. I didn't realize just how off my breathing was until it was back in the normal range. Yay antibiotics!
On the flip side, Page is also feeling better today after I took him in to the doctors yesterday because he was developing a nasty cough (and had a mild fever). He did not get antibiotics, but instead got a nebulizer treatment and instructions to use his inhaler every four to six hours for the next couple of days (and come back if he isn't getting better or is getting worse).
So I've sent him off to school with a note to see the nurse midday for a couple puffs, and to come straight home instead of going to the after-school program.
The doctor and nurse said they've seen a real upswing of pulmonary ailments this fall (they've already treated "quite a few" kids with pneumonia), with this week being a real wheezer. I know a lot of my friends are coming down with crud, with some of them having been fighting something for as long as I have. I wonder if the air quality has gone down a notch in the last year... This summer/fall have been bad. It seems it's been much worse than previous years, but then, it always does, doesn't it?
Anyway. I should start my day.
Yep.
I mean, the sun's up and everything.
*looks around for something else to say*
Hi?
*sigh*
Bye.
