Well, that's what gets me, is that the party has changed so much, and yet they still call themselves by their old name. The media is calling this administration neo-con, which I suppose is fine, but they ran under the Republican umbrella. And I hate the fact that they've bastardized the term "conservative" to mean money-grubbing, spend-thrifts Not Democrats, when it used to mean "conservative," ie: frugal, responsible - conserving what you've got, both economically and socially.

Of course, today's Democrats are nothing like those of 30-40-50 years ago, when social change was actually the priority, either. Instead they're trying to best the Republicans on every little thing, even if it's to the detriment to their party and the country as a whole. Bleh! Politics! I hope that the GOP does implode, so that the good republicans drift to the top as Independants. Same thing for the dems.
