If it weren't impossible...

I'd swear I was nesting.
Stupid Spring.
But, I have got quite a lot done, and the day has only barely started. Granted that I'm not going to get much else done today, cause I want to be functional tomorrow.
So far today, I've:
Oiled the wardrobe. Poor thing is so dry I'm going to have to oil it everyday this week before it looks at its prime again. My arms are going to hate me.
put black beans on to soak. Hopefully will be ready in time to make chili for dinner (using quick soak method, they should be).
put bread onto final rise (oh crap, need to set the timer! There. Now I can space out to my heart's content.)
2 half loads of laundry. I almost wish we had the clothes line intalled outside as it's beauuuuuuuuutiful out today, but then I'd be bringing more allergens into the house and we're all sneezy enough as it is. But they'd smell very nice for the few seconds I'd be able to smell them!
Cooked myself eggs for breakfast, though this was only because when I opened the fridge door, the (mostly empty) egg carton smashed to the floor, fracturing two of four eggs.
Ironed new skirt. Unfortunately, it did not like the drops of water the iron spit out, and changed color where it did. I will rerinse it and bring it back up to the ironing board damp and hope that will cure the spottiness. *grumblegrumble*
Of course, the reason I had to iron it in the first place was because stupid dryer buzzer has gone on the fritz without telling me. I actually, for once in the lifetime of the dryer, decide to turn it on, and... nothing. *grumbles a bit more*
On the plus side, having to rerinse the skirt so as to re-iron it means that I can rerinse my new shirt and get it out of the dryer before it gets super wrinkly as well, possibly saving me some ironing there. Whee.
Rehung all the hangers on my side of the closet, so that anything hanging wrong way 'round in a year can get chucked. Save some of the things that I'm not giving away, like my wedding dress. And my floor-length, velvet camo dress. And my old prom dress (which I will never ever fit into again, which is fine, but maybe one of my nieces will fit and suit it in 7-10 years for their prom. It's classy; it'll remain classy).
Changed Babe twice. Why can't he poop on Geoff's watch? Why?
Still to do:
Cook beans.(And remember to add the kombu.)
Bake bread.
More laundry.
Start actively collecting the annual drycleaning pile.
Sweep. Move bed and sweep. Move nightstands and sweep. Open closets and sweep.
Make chili. And johnnycake (find recipe again).
Bathe.
Write.
Go to store for applejuice (more than one bottle this time) and canned milk (fat free this time).
Read Sense and Sensibility
Did anyone see the new adaptation of Sense and Sensibility on PBS this weekend? It was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the other Austen adaptations they've been spewing out this year, probably because they allowed it three hours instead of one and a half. Well, there are other reasons it was better, as well. Minimal shaky camera work, for one. And the kisses (there were two, I believe) were very appropriately done. It had its faults for sure, but... well, Geoff watched it with me, and some of the things I saw as faults he really appreciated, as it made it easier to follow for the layperson. "Connecting the dots," as he put it.
It was a shame they didn't put that much effort into the others (that I saw. I missed Northanger Abbey).
Anyhow, back to work I go. I really hope I don't pay for this tomorrow.
