An Apology

I have received a few gentle reminders recently that it has been a very long time since I last updated She Married Her Choice. Unfortunately, all I can say at this point is, "I know, and I'm sorry."
For many months my muse had disappeared. Complete AWOL. Then, she popped round for just long enough to get me up to the interesting bit in a serial drabble for
duniazade before leaving me in the lurch yet again.
I have tried coaxing, but she's just not been listening.
And now, on top of my muse beinga flighty bitch unavailable, the computer that I have stored the most complete and thorough outlines of all my stories is not accessible. It will get fixed, but not until my husband - who has only two sworn duties to uphold: car and computer - has the time and energy and inclination. So not until August, I'd say.
I do want to finish SMHC. I really, really do. I want to finish The Prince's Wood as well. I want to explore a few other goldfish-bunnies that are nibbling at my toes, both fanfic and original, and I want to paint. God, how I want to want to paint!
Unfortunately, it just isn't happening at the moment. My energies are needed elsewhere.
I am sorry, though, for what it's worth. And I'm sure, once Fall comes around, the muse will make a stop and hopefully stay long enough for me to finish at least a chapter of SMHC, and even more hopefully, the whole story. Plus some.
And, who knows? She might stop round sooner than that, and at a time when I can actually give my time to her ideas. It could happen!
