Geez. I leave for five days and all hell breaks loose! WTH? Sickness (I will not get into how appalled I am by the whole Swine Flu panic, except to say, "LOOK AT THE ENIVRONMENTAL CONDITIONS, PEOPLE!"), personal health scares, death... there hasn't been any dismemberment going on, has there? Oh, hell. Rosedemon wrote about a three legged dog and Pigwidgeon joked about... well... But those don't count cuz there wasn't real misery involved...
So yeah. I'm back now, so you all better cut that shit out right now, you hear? You be healthy and happy, DAMMIT!!!
Geoff called at 9 this morning (6 his time) to say that he won't make it back tonight. Hopefully he'll be able to get an earlier flight on Sunday so it won't be Monday when he gets in, but, well...
I decided when Babe and I came home from errands this afternoon that I couldn't deal another day without the computer - it takes so much less energy than books - so I went about setting it up. The newer one gave a strange error message when I tried turning it one ("GSUP geom error"), but the old windows machine booted up more or less uneventfully. So yay. Computerized again.
Of course, this means that my writing spree is probably going to come back to a standstill... I got lots of writing done this week. LOTS. I finished chapter 25 and am a good ways through chapter 26. Bad news for you folks is, though, that I've decided I'm not going to post anything until I have finished the story. I'm really close now, so, if writing sprees like this week are in the books for next week, it shouldn't take that long before I'll post everything. A month including betaing time? Maybe?
I really want to get SMHC done with, so it could happen. And then I can move on to "The Prince's Wood" and "The Gray Nightshirt" and then I can really put my attention toward "Meeting Geoff". Which would be good.
But now I am trying to figure out what to do with Babe tomorrow that involves getting him out and socializing in what's looking like a rainy day. Without exhausting him so much that we can't get to church on Sunday. Hmmm.
Maybe we'll both be up for the library tomorrow. Without the errands, it could happen.
So, hi! Good to be back. Hope you all get better!
