aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh.
Christmas is over. It was lovely, but I'm glad it's over because now I've got pressies (socks! Lots and lots of silly socks!), lots of leftover food (the turkey dinner was AWESOME! And I did it mostly by myself! Yay me! [she says as if she were an eighteen-year-old, not a thirty-one-year-old.]) and another day of rest to go before Geoff has to go back to work.
Yay!
Also, I have managed to go on a walk ever day since I started on... what was it, Monday? Despite being tired, busy, disinclined or it being miserable looking out. Walking in the winter, assuming I don't have to deal with ice (or loads of snow), is nice. I bundle up well, so only my nose occasionally gets froze, and I can always unzip my coat if I start overheating. (I'm starting to dread summer and fantasizing about moving to Estonia and its cool summers.)
And it feels really good. [Nothing like the continuing descent of this 'society' into barbarism to get me motivated into becoming healthy (so I can get the hell out of here!)]
So now there's only the build-up to New Year's Eve and the wedding we're attending that evening. But, fortunately for us, we're just guests so there's not much to do besides show up. (Although I'm looking forward to seeing Geoff in a suit again. It's been years since he's spiffed himself up. Hmmm... Maybe I could convince him to go back to short hair again?)
Yes. This was a good Christmas. I managed to get (make) Geoff what he really, really wanted, I bought my most of my own gifts so I got what I really, really wanted (socks!!!! Purple sweater tunic/dress! Table easel! (which Geoff bought on my instruction) and Bengal Spice stuff!!! (Thank you
zalena!!! I especially love the lip balm!)) and Babe got all his confiscated toys back along with some new toys, so he was and is super happy.
Yes. Definitely a good Christmas.
So happy holidays all! I hope your have been as satisfying as our have been!
