I haven't finished going through the last two days' posts as I've either been busy or asleep. Or both. (Don't ask how, I don't know.)

However, it's bee a good couple of days. Yesterday I finally, for the first time in weeks and weeks, got to attend my painting group! YAY! I finished the illustration drawing I'd started the day before, then moved on to working on the painting I'd started last time I was at the group. It was good to paint, even if it is in acrylics.

Then, just after I got home (and ate lunch), a friend I hadn't seen in ages came over and we chatted till she had to leave to pick up her son. Oh, that was good. Of course, I had WAY more tea than I should have, especially as I've been foregoing all caffeine lately.

Yeah. I was Buzzed. Really, really buzzed. (I actually had the shakes I was so buzzed.)

Then, as soon as Geoff got home, we all went into the kitchen, and Babe made us scrambled eggs for supper! I've implemented the plan of having each of us cook dinner (the cook cleans up), and Babe has to cook one night a week. His eggs were delicious (although I'll admit I cheated and helped by adding some garlic powder and salt without making him do it himself).

And then I had to run to choir. I was late, but there was no way I was leaving before eating Babe's dinner!

Then in choir, I sat behind one of the really good sopranos (one whom we call on if we desperately need help). Mid-rehearsal, she turned to me and said how nice it was to actually be able to hear me singing. I think it was the caffeine. I was really buzzed.

And then I came home and ate something more and was still buzzed. Went to bed late, and was still buzzed. Fortunately, I was in a good mood (for the most part) and in a cuddly mood, so Geoff breathing in my ear after he fell asleep eventually lulled me into sleep, as it allowed me to concentrate on my breathing.

And then I woke up too early (before the alarm, but not long enough before to go back to sleep), and had a busy morning including a fairly long walk (half an hour at a fair clip) trying out my new yak-traks for the first time. They are splendid. Unfortunately, the path I took was about 100 yards too long, as my knee has been talking to me since then. (And my hamstrings, and my quads and my bum... god, I am so out of shape!) It's not shouting, but its talk is disappointing after yesterday's walk hadn't brought up a whisper.

Then I picked Babe up from school, ate lunch and read Babe another chapter from "The Trumpet of the Swan" and then... fell asleep. For at least three hours. I had tried to get Babe to go sledding, as it's perfect weather out for sledding (not too cold, fortunately), and warned him that if we didn't get me moving outside, I would be falling asleep, but he wouldn't budge. Stubborn boy. Foolish boy, too. It's not like I was suggesting something he doesn't enjoy. Fortunately, he accepted my nap with pretty good grace, I think because I had listed it as a probable consequence of not going sledding.

However, I'm sure the nap was good for me. I'm positive I needed it!

Anyway, it's dinner time and Babe is bugging me for attention and I still need to art and ... yeah. Bye.
