That 'to do' list? Yeah. I will get around to it. After I post this.
So, I went ahead and bought the clogs. Yes, in purple. :-) I hope they're the right size. I really hope they're the right size! I snooped around and I think they will be, but... *wibbles*
I did not buy the Hush Puppies replacement for my black loafers, however, since I wasn't quite sure what size I needed. Current ones are supposedly half a size larger than I normally take, but they were bought at a discount/irreg/odd lot store, so they might have been mislabeled.
Ah well. If I had thought to look up hush puppies when I was snoop shopping last night... but I didn't.
Last night as I was coming home from shoe-snoop-shopping ("and that's why they're known as the Hoop Soup Snoop Group" -Dr. S), I was blown away by the sky. It was completely surreal! The sky looked photoshopped. It wasn't quite sunset, though it was getting late, and the clouds were stacked in these abnormally even striations, which would have been nice though not special had not the colors been so incredibly intense! The cerulean, especially, was popping out of the shadows, even overwhelming the light grey-pink edgings of the clouds.
And then, there was a hole in this cloud dense sky where a tiny thumbnail of the cyan evening sky shone through, and it looked as if the moon were there, setting in the north.
The whole sky, actually, was like a moonlit sky, only with daylight.
Seeing this, I rushed back home to grab my camera and family to go on an emergency beauty run. They, especially Geoff, could not miss this amazing sky.
We did manage to get into the car and out onto the road in only a minute or two, and so I drove us all over, trying to find a good place to view the sky. Unfortunately, there are only a few places nearby where the sky overcomes the trees, but Geoff snapped some good shots even though the most surreal bits of sky had melted away, as sky-forms do.
