There have been so many stories like this lately. Why are people such jerks?
I don't know if the bullying I experienced (every day from ages 9-12) is anything comparable to this, but it did affect me. I was bullied for being smart and developing early. The funny thing is the majority of my friends were bullied at some point and they are a nice, welcoming group. So I wonder if those of us who were bullied actually have a bit more compassion.
