There are lots of good things going on in my life. I'll just put that out as a preface because my life is going pretty well at the moment. I haven't been on LJ much lately because I've been too busy spending my energy. 'Cause I have energy these days, ya'll! (And my eczema is almost gone!)

The sad is... a long story. The short of it, though, is that the grown son of our neighbors died Thursday night. When I heard and saw the emergency vehicles (at 4:30 am), I figured the dad was in dire straits again (he's very ill). When I saw all the family's cars, I knew something Bad had happened. But still, I thought it was the dad.

Oh... My heart hurts for the family. I just sent Geoff over with the leftover brownies I made tonight and to find out what they like/tolerate for a Monday night meal (another neighbor has them covered for tomorrow). It's the only thing I can think of to actually help, seeing as we're virtual strangers.

Oh, honey, good for you. It is a sad thing when a young person dies, and you are doing the truly neighboring thing: to provide food in time of trouble. You may not know them now, but they will always remember you and your compassion. ~hugs~

I'm sorry. It's depressing being close to something like that. But the care and comfort you offer with a meal now will be appreciated one day. You're a good person. *hugs*
