averygoodun42I went to bed rather late late last night. Unfortunately, although I got to sleep just fine, my thumb was so uncomfortable that I ended up tossing and turning till 1:30, when I gave up and got up.
And stayed up till 4:30.
Most of that time was spent soaking my thumb in very warm, salty water (which hurt so much it made me nauseated) and drinking tons of water and fluids. 50 ounces, to be close to precise.
My thumb is better this morning, but even so I have decreed today to be Me Day. Yes, I have afuckload shitload ton of stuff to do this week, but I need rest. I need me time. I need to decompress. I need it. I will go psycho on my family if I don't get it.
And as such, I am going to go take a hot Epsom salt bath and then go back to bed. If I can't sleep, I will read fluff or watch a movie or otherwise use my time in a completely useless, restful manner.
If you are inclined to encouraging my lassitude, please feel free to leave fic recs. I'll only read SS/HG or gen Harry Potter, but I'm up for Austenfic, NewSherlockfic and DoctorWhofic (as long as it doesn't matter that I haven't seen any 11 episodes) or anything nifty that doesn't require prior knowledge of characters or plots.
