averygoodun42 | Mosquito malaise

When I went outside yesterday evening, I found out the mosquitoes had finally arrived. I think I got about ten bites in the 30 seconds I was out there in my shorts. I immediately took a benadryl when I got in, and took one again this morning. However, my allergy to the damn things has not abated in the last year. I feel vaguely ill from the bites, but don't dare take more benadryl yet to relieve the itch. I'm saving that for bedtime (so I don't scratch myself raw as I sleep). I can't use the benadryl cream either, as there's just too much skin affected; the side-effects are just as bad when used like that.

Bleh. This is almost like a mild hangover, but without the fun beforehand.

Today marks the beginning of summer vacation for Page. I've got mixed feelings about it, seeing as I'll be happy to give up the alarming mornings, but at the same time... so many hours with no alone time! Ah well. I survived last summer, and I'm sure I'll survive this summer, too.

Right. Should go do... something. I s'pose. If I have to. Maybe.

ETA: Also, is Google being extremely slow for anyone else? I know my ISP is having issues maintaining bandwidth speed these days, but it seems like only Google's sites really object to it. For me, anyway.
