We got a blizzard! We got a blizzard!

Okay, it was never at any point of my observance what I would call a "blizzard" (I was always able to see the house across the street), but we did get dumped on. My town got around 24" (with snow drifts up to 32"), and it's all the fluffy stuff!

Whee!

And here are some of the pics.

It was surprisingly difficult to get to my feet after making the snow angel. Granted, the fact that I chose to fall down slope so my head was lower than my feet probably didn't help. ;-) I fully intend to force the boys out make a family of angels in the front. Tomorrow. (It's getting a bit late, and our snowpants and boots are all still soggy.)

It took about an hour to shovel out our car and driveway, with Geoff using the shovel and me using our pitiful little snowblower, which did an excellent job on the powder, though. It's a wimpy little thing when it comes to the wet stuff, but the only problem it had with this snowfall was the height. So, Geoff took off the top half of the snow, and I blew the rest away. Often with the wind sending it right back at us.

It was fun. Well, I had fun, anyway. :-)

AND, we didn't lose power, though the lights did flicker a little last night as the wind picked up. I am very glad, yet again, that we don't live on the coast.

Of course, I haven't done a whit of work in the last couple days, and tomorrow will probably be taken up with going to the museum of science, but it's been nice anyway. Even if I will be a bit stressed next week.

*happy sigh*

Happy weekend!
