- Well, I am typing this from a newly modified desk, including an adjustable keyboard tray. The old desk tray broke over the weekend, so I was motivated to put my old plans into action. Unfortunately, my old plans have since modified (i.e. grown) and so the old plan became the temporary plan. It's a decent temporary plan, however. Or will be when I find the right setting for this keyboard tray.

- I miss my husband.

- I want to paint. There are two paintings (within consideration) that I really want to work on. One is a leaf-scape that's been lying around for... a year and a half? Two years? that is at a not-so-pretty stage. I know if I hide it away, I will never ever work on it again, and I don't want that. I think I can make it shine. But, well...

The other painting I want to work on requires far more prep work, as I'd need to make at least two, but possibly as many as four canvases for its completion. I thought it was going to be a diptych, but, no. It needs more. Unfortunately, the "more" all have to be custom made.

- I'm excited to be almost finished with my computer course. And, when I mentioned my professor's name to my neighbor (who also attends this college), she rolled her entire head along with her eyes. Literally. I am not alone in my dislike. (I'm sure she's a perfectly nice person, but, damn I don't like her as a teacher.)

- Page has fallen asleep on the sofa. *shrug* Whatevs. *iz bad mom*

- Medjool dates are dangerous. I have been quite good about not ODing on them this time, though. So far. As for Page... well... he's learning.

- I'm gradually getting the house into some semblance of shape. Heck, I even got all the laundry done and folded (well... until I found more to do, but that's different)! My reward was getting to use the circular saw to make the new desktop.

- I will be getting a pieris (japonica), forget-me-nots AND half a red sedum from my gardening neighbor. For free. Bad side is it's because she's moving before the end of next month. :-( The days before we leave on vacation are going to be busy, what with moving all the plants hither and thither. (Some might have to wait until we get back, though it'll be tight timing.)

- I got my first robocall on my cell phone. Oh-so-unfortunately, I couldn't get to the phone in time, so I missed out on what they were selling. Shucks.

- I'm tired, and it's not yet 11. Making progress on reprogramming my circadian rhythm back into whack. Yay.
