How unexpected. Both "Marry a Choice" and "She Married Her Choice" were nomintaed over at OWL for this round of awards. Cool. But unexpected.

The sun is out today en force, and, well, it's not exactly fairy lights as it's too bright, but the world is hung with diamonds now. Serious bling action, baby. I wish I were a photographer with a good camera for this kind of thing, as it is beautiful. Not glorious, but beautiful.

I bet sunrise was amazing, though.

Last night was really cold, though. Well, it's still cold out, but last night I had to add my doona to the regular covers. (A doona is like a duvet, only filled with a thick layer of wool instead of goose down.)

And then... I think this unpleasant story I'm writing is giving me a UTI. Maybe, if I work really hard, I'll get it finished before the anti-biotics stop working? I want it done and out of my system, that's for sure. It's ugly. (both the UTI and the story)

huh. That doona sounds interesting.... I'm allergic to feathers so I've always lamented my inability to have a down comforter -- because the fake ones just aren't the same (although I was about to break down and buy one anyway). I'm also allergic to wool -- but it wouldn't actually be touching me, it would just be warming me. That warrants some investigation!

I got mine in Australia, but there has to be some market for it here... enough people are allergic to feathers, after all. Good luck. (Oh, and I'm mildly allergic to wool as well, and there is no reaction whatsoever.)

Congratulations on the nominations! They're much deserved! A doona would be overkill in San Diego, but that doesn't stop me from being envious (dratted cold snap!). Oh dear, I hope the UTI goes away quickly and that you're able to get this story out of your system ASAP. I, for one, am very axious to see it. The story, not the UTI. Best of luck with the awards, writing, and your immune system! Isn't cranberry juice the folk remedy for UTI? Not enough alone, but might it help?

Thanks. Antibiotics seem to be working on the UTI, but the story... I'm progressing, but I'm having a hell of a time channeling Peter Pettigrew, who is essential to the story. Right now I'm just writing the story, then I'll go back and probably rewrite the whole thing where PP is. Bleh. I hate his character. I hate Lucius, too, but at least Lucius is... I don't know, powerhungry, which is easier to write than self-serving doormat, ya know? Bleh, anyway.

That's what I forgot to get at the store the other day! I knew there was something! And it's amazing stuff, especially the non-sweetened stuff. It's hard to take, but it does the trick.
