To chapter 20 (pt 3.1) on TPP, and it should be out soon at OWL.

Snape and his POV return.

I made broccoli quiche last night.  Yum.  Haven't had that in aaaaaaaaages.  I'm not sure I've ever made it before (I hate the smell of cooking broccoli so I usually avoid cooking it), but it turned out quite well, I think.  And I have enough left over broccoli for cream of broccoli soup tomorrow!  Yay!  Now I just have to figure out what proportions to use. (Forgot to ask about that.  Oops.  Details, details.  So, if you're reading this, Mum, would you email me your guestimates, please? Thanks!)

Otherwise... I have a cough again.  After singing yesterday (Oblidi Oblida!  Is my church cool or what?), I woke up today without a voice again.  I've had the sniffles since Thursday, but I've also started coughing up stuff again.  Not good.  At least my rheumy appointment is only three weeks away, so she can check out those x-rays for scary crap beyond the obvious TB and pneumonia (which were thankfully absent).

One of the things I have to remember to talk to her about is my dwindling appetite.  I'm pretty sure that my headaches and lethargy are due to lack of fuel, but... it's so easy to forget to eat when the stomach forgets to send out reminders.  I have yet to look up the side effects of plaquenil, but my mum reminds me that last time I was on it (fifteen years or so ago) my appetite took a serious dive, so it's very possible that's what's going on.  I don't know what I'll do if that's the case.  I'm really truly horrible at maintaining schedules and regimens, no matter what the stakes are, and prednisone is far, far worse (in ALL respects)... methotrexate is scary-ass shit, and... bleh.

We'll figure something out, though, even if it's going back on Jo-ann's diet.  Although, I was thinking just this morning how I just don't have the time to detox at the moment, considering detoxing for me is a several week (hopefully not months) flare of an affair.  I was hoping I could delay that unpleasantness for another few years.  Like, after Babe is old enough to be sent off to grandparents for a while. Bleh.

*snifflecough*

Ah well.  Probably after a good night's sleep, assuming Babe actually sleeps through the night tonight, I'll feel tons better.  Possibly even tonnes better.  It probably won't hurt, anyway. ;-)

I'm so sorry you've been so down lately. I really hope that you can figure something out for getting better.

I've noticed you mentioning this diet before, and I'm really curious about what it is. Could you tell me a little about it?

Sorry for the late reply. The lady who came up with the diet has a website:

http://www.joannerohncook.com/

The site's pretty cheesy (as are her books), so be warned, but her diet does get results. If you stick with it faithfully. Which is blasted hard to do. It's like a really, really strict version of Atkins or Candida diet.

Thanks! I'll go check it out. I'm usually pretty curious about this kind of stuff. :-)

Yuk! I hope you feel better. I will be making a leek quiche, then cock-a-leeky soup. I love leeks. This time of year I feel like I can never get enough of them.

(I also hate the smell of broccoli, but I like eating it. Go figure.)
