First,
minuet99 has the right idea. In fact, it's a rather brilliant idea. I almost never look at the MyLJ feature, so I almost never see when people's birthday's are, therefore I frequently miss them. Heck, I know I missed someone's birthday (besides my dad's) yesterday! And that's assuming your birthday is listed on your profile.
So, would you please post and tell me your birthday? If I have it somewhere handy I should be able to set myself reminders and such, and that way you might get birthday fic or art... if you want. And have given me prompts. :-)
Second is a cute anecdote.
M&M came up this weekend, and we had a bit of a visit. Babe was enthralled as per usual, and went up to Mr. M and said ever so eagerly, "Aeuuuuaiooooaaeuuaaaaioooooeeeuaao?" We all laughed and I said, "Darling, you have to enunciate."
He looked at us for a moment then said, "Enun see ate."
It was the funniest and cutest thing ever.
Yesterday Geoff stayed home from work to recuperate. I woke up with what has turned out to be a mild migraine and bad back cramps (they're still here), so I took most of the day to catch up on non-active things, like the exchange piece. I made progress! Yay! It only took 10 hours. Only about 30 hours to go! *nibbles fingernails*
Something funny. It's old and you Star Wars fans probably have seen it already, but I laughed very hard.
And here are a few memes. It seems I'm behind the times.
HA! I take after my dad, and, while I love him dearly, he's no diplomat. (There was a conference in the Middle East some time ago and he was very qualified technically, but it was decided he wasn't the best person to go - wouldn't want to start any wars, you know. I quipped that it might not have been bad at all... he could have given both sides something to agree on.)

![]() | You scored as Male. Being mostly male / masculine, within your structures of thinking simply means that your reasoning powers are (the way they are perceived in Western Culture`) higher than the one of the opposite sex. Psychoanalsis claims this to come at the price of creative expression - a rational thinker can not think out of the box, it is claimed.

Order of the Phoenix You scored 21 DE-ness! |
You understand the Death Eaters to be the social malaise they are, and you are determined to root them out. You do not do this lightly, because this places all your loved ones in the way of extreme harm. But nevertheless, you fight against Lord V because there are some principles that a human being can not live without. Good luck in the coming war. |
My test tracked 1 variable How you compared to other people your age and gender:

![]() You're both warm and practical. You're very driven, but you're also very well rounded. You tend to see both sides to every issue, and people consider you a natural diplomat. |

Of all the shades of blue, you are the most funky, unique, and independent.
Expressing yourself and taking a leap of faith has always been easy for you.
I love indigo! But just because I do a lot of faith-leaping doesn't make it easy for me.

Date: 2007-03-27 11:30 pm (UTC)I think every generation is different. The indigo movement almost makes the next generation seem a little *too* special.
Plus, it's like any other kind of gifted. Everyone thinks their children are gifted. What we really need are more lists to tell parents that their children are perfectly normal.
Nice way to change the subject, huh? ;)
